Close to 20 seniors from Los Angeles and Crenshaw High Schools joined energy industry employees from Sentinel Peak Resources, E&B Natural Resources, and the California Independent Petroleum Association to learn about careers in the oil and gas industry.  Students were given an overview of the oil and gas industry in Los Angeles and a presentation on a summer internship program with oil and gas companies in Bakersfield that is administered through the California Independent Petroleum Association for Los Angeles area high school seniors. After the presentations, employees from Sentinel Peak Resources toured students through its oil and gas facility where they learned first-hand about STEM field careers in the oil and gas industry.  The day concluded with a tour of the La Brea Tar Pits.
