Californians for Energy Independence (CEI), 59DaysofCode and Chevron partnered on a Tech Expo at West Hills College for middle school, high school and college students to promote STEM studies and encourage students to pursue careers in engineering and technology. Students from Coalinga, Huron and neighboring communities had an opportunity at the West Hills Tech Expo to learn about the Geekwise Academy as well as exciting and fulfilling careers in the energy industry. CEI provided a Careers in Energy booth staffed with energy industry employees who discussed with students how technology plays a vital role in their daily jobs.
