Careers in Energy Booth, Fresno County Superintendent of Schools’ Annual Career Tech Expo

Hosted by the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools, the Central Valley Career Tech Expo is an annual event that showcases the wide variety of career opportunities available in the Central Valley. More than 3,000 students from throughout Fresno County attended the event. As part of the event, Californians for Energy Independence (CEI) partnered with 59DaysOfCode and Chevron in sponsoring the first in a series of computer design workshops for over 30 high school students from the rural communities of Firebaugh and Mendota. Additionally, CEI-Careers in Energy hosted a booth at the Expo with three energy employees from local producers engaging with the students. Careers in Energy cinch bags, pens and literature about careers in energy and possible career paths were very popular with the students as were the employees.
