After a semester of technology education classes, students from Firebaugh, Fresno and Huron participated in the 59DaysOfCode “Build It” workshop this past May to demonstrate what they had learned.

59DaysOfCode is a nonprofit for the growth of the technology industry and community in the San Joaquin Valley.

Californians for Energy Independence’s Careers in Energy program – in partnership with Chevron – participated in the event by emphasizing the importance of technology in STEM education. Its Careers in Energy website and materials were used as examples for the students as they designed and pitched their own websites.
