On Sunday, July 28th Californians for Energy Independence’s Careers in Energy Program sponsored the Mendota Gutierrez Family Backpack Giveaway, which was hosted by the City of Mendota, Mendota Youth Recreation and Westside Youth organizations. Mendota Mayor Robert Silva played an instrumental role in organizing this event that served around 1,000 students with backpacks and school supplies.
