CEI’s Careers in Energy program proudly sponsored the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools’ Annual Career Tech Expo at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno. The expo drew over 3,000 high school seniors from throughout Fresno County, exposing them to various careers — including the oil and gas industry — and educational options.

Representing our local producers were Amanda Callahan of California Resources Corporation, Carlos Pelayo of Seneca Resources and Jason Lopez of Aera Energy. They connected with the students regarding their personal education and career paths and provided useful educational and career resource materials.

Students were also able to experience Seneca Resources’ Oilfield Tank Battery Model showing how crude oil is stored after being produced from a well to give a better understanding regarding oil production.
