CEI’s Careers in Energy Program was proud to participate in Fresno City College’s Women in Engineering Day where more than 50 freshmen and sophomore students from Fresno High School participated in hands-on STEM seminars throughout the day. The event addressed gender diversity in engineering careers and STEM programs. Careers in Energy had the opportunity to share information about career opportunities in the industry and program sponsor Chevron – a partner of Californians for Energy Independence – donated funds to purchase surveying equipment to introduce the young women to civil engineering as well as robots and 3D printers to understand how some of the basic elements of engineering and design.
