More than 700 middle school students from Coalinga and Huron Middle schools participated in the facilitated Mobile Oilfield Learning Unit (MOLU); a traveling hands-on STEM learning exhibit that teaches geology, chemistry, biology, physics, mapping and oil extraction. The curriculum for the six contained learning units is based on state and national science standards. The STEM learning exhibit was sponsored by local oil and gas producers Chevron and Seneca Resources. As a follow-up to the program, students were provided Careers in Energy materials in English and Spanish.
